我們從小都愛故事，繪本也愛不釋手。可是為甚麼聽的讀的都是別人的故事？那麼自己的故事呢？

 

我們從小祈願那更美好的世界, 為甚麼總是由別人述說？可以有自己的版本嗎？

 

我們天天生活的城市，隱藏了無數靈感閃耀的時光。澳門街的日常，傳送到孩童好奇的觸感，可以變身怎麼樣的故事？

 

於是有了這個實驗：我們和小朋友穿街過巷, 用眼耳口鼻心、腦仔腳仔手仔收集影像, 聲音和經歷，然後邀請資深設計師以工作坊形式和小朋友共同遊歷記憶、敘事、圖文的可能性, 再親手做自己的書……

Don't we all love stories, ever since we're children? Pictures books too, oh how we cherish them...

But then why are these stories always made up by someone else?

Couldn't we have stories of our own?

We've always been wishing for a more beautiful world.

But then why is this better world always a version from someone else?

Couldn't we all have versions of our own?

​

We are so familiar with Macau, the place we call home. Or are we really?

This heritage city we live in is sprinkled with moments of wonder and inspiration, we just have to look for them.

What would Macau be like with the touch and sensibility of a child?

What kind of new stories can be discovered and told by a child?

And so we tried this experiment and walked the city with children as if this is our very first time:

All senses wide open with curiosity and wonder.

Sights, sounds, experiences...everything could be a treasure for children to put into their private collection. 

Then a design expert came on board to explore with the children their shared memories,

transforming them into fresh narratives, imaginative images and unpredictable texts.

And finally, a book made with the children's own little hands...

Always expect the unexpected from children, and Macau too :p

Here we proudly present to you stories of Macau from our future,

as experienced and imagined by the children of Macau.
