By the Sea

In the city of Macau where the sea on all sides has become foreign to her own people and children, can we again spend days by the sea, unconditionally?

For six days, we did just that. The ATB x PBT retreat was held by the seaside of Coloane, an outlying island of Macau now gated by the Vagas-like Cotai Strip. During the day, workshops were held at a rustic school-owned villa tucked away by the beach. In the evenings and mornings, participants walked along the seaside to and from their retreat residence to the villa. Lunches and tea breaks were time spent sea-gazing mostly.

Once again, the sea became part of our bodies and spoke to us from the depth of her many shades and shapes.
